The school says the marching band has been prepping for its Rose Parade appearance since last May, putting in hundreds of hours of practice and competition leading up to the big event.

The Rose Parade, which expected around 700,000 people to attend and an additional 70 million people to watch around the world on Monday, stretches five-and-a-half miles and features floral-decorated floats, bands and equestrian units.

The parade precedes the iconic Rose Bowl, which this year, hosts the No. 8 Utah Utes and the No. 11 Penn State Nittany Lions.
