ROSEVILLE, Minn. — If you had to pick the best skating rink in the country, would you vote for one close to home?
Now you could have a chance, as USA Today 10Best features an ice skating rink in Roseville.
Guidant John Rose Minnesota OVAL in Roseville was nominated by a panel of experts and as of Monday morning topped the charts at #1.
Twenty ice skating rinks, including the Boston Commons Frog Pond, the Ice Rink at the Sculpture Park in Washington D.C., and the Rink at Rockefeller Center in New York City were selected by a panel of experts for "providing a superior ice skating experience."
You can cast your ballot online until 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 4. The ten winners will be announced on Friday, Dec. 15.
The OVAL is part of the Roseville Skating Center and is the largest outdoor refrigerated skating facility in North America. it has hosted events like World Cup Speedskating, World and National Bandy Championships, and Aggressive Skating and Biking competitions.
