LAKE ELMO, Minn. — Four people were injured in a crash between two vehicles in Lake Elmo on Saturday.
According to state troopers, A Ford Focus was stalled in the left lane of traffic on eastbound Highway 36 just before 9 p.m. A Nissan Pathfinder was also headed east and crashed into the Focus at highway speeds.
The driver of the Pathfinder had non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
Two people in the Focus, the driver and a 10-year-old boy, had non-life-threatening injuries after the crash. Another passenger in the car, a 5-year-old girl, was seriously hurt and troopers said she had life-threatening injuries.
All four victims are residents of Saint Paul, officials said, and all four were taken to Regions Hospital for treatment.
