Shooting injures 3 in Dinkytown

The violent incident occurred outside two popular student spots near campus.

MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis police are investigating after three people suffered gunshot wounds in Dinkytown early Friday morning. 

According to the University of Minnesota safety notifications, the shooting occurred at 2:15 a.m. near Fourth Street and 13th Avenue. First responders reported three victims with gunshot injuries, though it is unclear if those victims were linked to the university. 

The intersection where the shooting took place is right outside student nightlife hot spots Frank From Philly & Andrea Pizza and Kollege Klub Dinkytown. Both locations close at 2 a.m. on Thursdays.
