ST PAUL, Minn. — The Saint Paul Police Department has launched a homicide investigation after a person was fatally shot in the city.
Public Information Officer Mike Ernster told media a male victim was found in a parked vehicle at the intersection of Charles Avenue and Galtier Street after multiple 911 calls came in at about 7 p.m.
Ernster said the man had multiple gunshot wounds to his torso, and was taken to Regions Hospital where he died. On Friday, police identified the victim as Tirece Reed, 33, of Inver Grove Heights.
Now authorities are investigating the circumstances of the shooting in the neighborhood just blocks from the State Capitol and across from St. Adalbert's Church.
