ST. CLOUD, Minn. — A St. Cloud man has died after being involved in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon.

St. Cloud police say officers arrived to the crash on 20th Avenue Southeast, just south of the intersection with Minnesota Boulevard, around 2:30 p.m.

According to police, their early investigation showed that a vehicle going northbound, driven by a 25-year-old St. Cloud woman, lost control and slid head-on into a vehicle traveling southbound. Police report the southbound vehicle was driven by a 61-year-old woman from St. Cloud.

The southbound vehicle's passenger, a 68-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and later died at the hospital.

Both women were also transported to the St. Cloud Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Authorities said they'll continue to investigate, adding roads were covered by ice and snow at the time of the crash.

Police also said they learned a witness stopped to help, but left before officers arrived. They are seeking to speak with that person.
