ST PAUL, Minn. — A man was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon outside a tobacco store at strip mall in St. Paul.
St. Paul Police say the man was found lying outside the business on the 1300 block of Maryland Avenue East just before 12:30 p.m. with a gunshot wound to his torso. First responders attempted to provide life-saving measures, but he ultimately died on the way to the hospital, according to police.
A man was taken into custody a few blocks from the scene. Police are still working to determine what led up to the shots being fired.
