ST PAUL, Minn. — Saint Paul police are investigating after a man was stabbed to death on Friday evening.
In a press release, police said officers were called to the 200 block of 7th Street East just before 5:30 p.m. for a report someone had been stabbed.
Officers said they found an adult man lying in a gas station parking lot with what they called "apparent stab-related injuries." Police gave the man first aid until Saint Paul fire medics arrived and took the man to Regions Hospital.
Officials said the man died at the hospital from his injuries. His name will be released by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office in the coming days.
Police said the suspect remained on scene and officers took them into custody. Preliminary information shows the victim and suspect got into a fight in the store before the victim was injured.
