Thousands celebrate Pride with annual parade

Crowds lined Hennepin Avenue to witness the annual Pride parade, featuring dozens of organizations, companies and politicians showing their support.

MINNEAPOLIS — The Twin Cities' annual celebration of the LGBTQ+ community brought massive crowds to downtown Minneapolis once again this year.

Thousands of spectators lined Hennepin Avenue to witness the annual Twin Cities Pride parade, featuring dozens of organizations, companies and politicians marching to show their support.

"It's not every day you get a chance to be accepted for who you are," said paradegoer Fierce Zeta Nova. "And 100% authenticity is hard to find sometimes."

The parade was led by a procession of people carrying huge flags representing the various groups within the LGBTQ+ community.

"The energy of the crowd really feeds your soul, and then you share it back," said Aurora Zeta Nova, who ended up marching in the parade.
