TikToker catches eyes *and ears* by reenacting Paul Allen's play-by-play calls

The flare and theatrics of beloved Vikings announced Paul Allen are being seen and heard in a new light by millions on TikTok and Twitter.

MINNEAPOLIS — It's a distinctive voice Viking fans have heard for decades. Paul Allen has been calling play-by-play for the purple and gold for 22 years and has been behind the KFAN mic for 25.

His booming voice and flare take fans for a colorful ride through the NFL games, which for Vikings fans, can be a range of highs and lows.

"There are some calls along the way that people have been kind enough to remember," Allen said. "Like the 2009 NFC Championship game, or the Minneapolis Miracle."

Now, his entertaining and iconic calls are being borrowed but it's adding to his fandom.

TikTok creator, Jakob Berger began creating videos using Allen's voice, adding his own theatrical spin. The videos combined over a million views.

Berger isn't even a Vikings fan.

"I am a die-hard Steelers fan," Berger said with a grin.

The former baseball player works in Dallas for a business in supply chain operations. He makes the videos during his free time at home.

"The one where he was calling the corgi races, and I had a hard time finishing that video because I was laughing in the middle of making it," Berger said.

Allen got a kick out of the videos, not realizing Berger had created a handful on his TikTok.

"He is so animated and theatrical when he does this. I just absolutely love this. I think it is so flattering," Allen said.

Allen has seen a substantial jump in fans on social media since a video of him went viral last year. Lebron James retweeted it, saying, "National Treasure."

"I am just very happy that God put me in this position because the following is definitely growing a quarter century into my career," Allen said.

He hopes people get a good laugh from Berger. Even if it's at his expense.
