DRESSER, Wis. — We may be seeing the thermometer hitting 50 degrees this weekend but that doesn't mean you can't go snowboarding and skiing.
The Trollhaugen Ski Resort in Dresser, Wisconsin is making snow and opening two runs, one ski lift and one tow rope on Thursday afternoon.
"With bright blue skies overhead, and freshly groomed snow underfoot, the Trolls are gearing up for an amazing opening day after a successful early snowmaking push during the recent Halloween cold spell, said Marketing Director, Marsha Hovey, in a news release.
Trollhaugen will be open from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Hours of operation for Saturday and Sunday are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Trollhaugen said future dates are TBD.
Officials said tickets and season passes are limited right now, "meaning we could sell out."
Trollhaugen is located in Dresser, Wisconsin, about one hour north of the Twin Cities, just south of Taylors Falls and St. Croix Falls.
