COTTAGE GROVE, Minn. — Two cats are in "good condition" after they were rescued from a burning townhome Tuesday in Cottage Grove.
According to a release from the city of Cottage Grove, firefighters were called to an 8-unit townhouse complex on the 7700 block of 79th Street just before 4 p.m.
Fire officials say they were able to quickly contain the fire to the kitchen, and rescued two cats that were inside the townhome when the blaze began. Officials say both cats are in "good condition" and are with their homeowners.
Officials say no other units were damaged and are still trying to determine what caused the fire.
