WILLMAR, Minn. — Two officers were injured while testing an unknown powder Thursday at a law enforcement center in Willmar.
According to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office, the officers were testing the powder, which they suspected to be a controlled substance, at around 12:30 a.m. when it "ignited." The officers were transported to a nearby hospital where they were treated and released.
Officials say they're investigating the incident, but they don't believe there is any threat to law enforcement.
