ST PAUL, Minn. — St. Paul Police say several people were hurt when a vehicle crashed into a business Sunday night.
Police spokesperson Sgt. Natalie Davis says squads were dispatched to the St. Paul Tap near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Fulton Street around 8:45 p.m. on reports of shots fired.
When officers arrived they located a 21-year-old woman on the bar's patio who said she had been struck by a vehicle. She was transported to Regions Hospital with non-life threatening injures.
Witnesses on the scene told investigators they saw two men arguing on the outdoor patio before leaving and heading for the parking lot. Bystanders then heard multiple gunshots before a black SUV drive into the patio area and hit someone. The driver then fled the scene.
Police recovered a shell casing and bullet fragment from the bar's parking lot.
Sgt. Davis says a short time later a man was dropped off at Regions Hospital suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Responding officers learned the man's injuries were related to the incident at St. Paul Tap.
No arrests have been made at this time, and St. Paul police continue to investigate.
