WASHINGTON COUNTY, Minnesota — The Washington County Sheriff's Office says a 10-year-old boy was pulled out of the St. Croix River Friday afternoon and rushed to the hospital where he later died.
Emergency crews and a dive team had been searching for the boy for nearly two hours when he "was located under the water" near William O'Brien State Park, according to a news release.
He was rushed to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
Around "7:30 p.m. the Washington County Sheriff's Office received confirmation the 10-year-old male victim who was recovered from the St. Croix River at William O'Brien State Park was pronounced deceased at Regions Hospital," according to the news release.
No further information has been released.
