GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - The parents of Jacob Wetterling will address the media on Tuesday for the first time since news broke about the "person of interest" linked to their son's disappearance.

Patty and Jerry Wetterling say they will make a few comments regarding the latest developments in their son's case -- 26 years after he went missing -- from their home in St. Joseph. They say they will hold a short press conference at 12:15 p.m.

Last week, federal investigators announced a few new leads in the case that rocked Minnesota. A man, identified as 52-year-old Danny James Heinrich, was identified as a person of interest and was charged with possessing child pornography. He has not been charged with anything in Wetterling's disappearance but authorities say he has been linked, through advanced DNA testing, to a number of other sexual assaults in the area.
