GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — The holidays tend to creep up on most folks, meaning that buying gifts for loved ones can turn into a last-minute scramble.
Fortunately, there's still time to ship the perfect gift for Christmas. But keep an eye on these deadlines and make sure to get those packages to a shipper before the listed dates!
USPS
If you're mailing a package to a loved one, USPS recommends that you ship it by Dec. 18 for it to arrive before Dec. 25. If you're sending something to-or-from Alaska or Hawaii, USPS recommends putting it in the mail by Dec. 16.
If you pay extra for USPS Priority Mail Service or Priority Mail Express Service, you can send the gift a few days later and it will still arrive by Christmas Day.
Amazon
If you're ordering stocking stuffers or last-minute gifts, Amazon offers one-day delivery across the nation (for additional fees.) To make it clear to shoppers, Amazon added an "Arrives Before Christmas" label to items as you browse the site.
FedEx
FedEx has a variety of options to ship your package. If you use FedEx Ground Economy, the last day to order is Dec. 13. But if you're willing to pay for FedEx SameDay, then you can ship it as late as Dec. 24. Here's a full list of the deadlines.
