What to know ahead of Trump, Vance visit to St. Cloud

Former President Donald Trump and vice presidential candidate JD Vance are coming to Minnesota. Here is what you should know before the event.
Saturday will mark two weeks since the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

ST. CLOUD, Minn. — The former president and his VP are coming to the North Star State this weekend to rally support ahead of the November election. 

The visit comes almost a week after President Joe Biden bowed out of the race and endorsed his vice president, Kamala Harris, to run for the Democratic nomination — and two weeks after a campaign rally in Pennsylvania ended with an assassination attempt against Donald Trump.  

Where is the event happening? 

Former President Donald Trump and his running mate Sen. JD Vance of Ohio will be at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, on the St. Cloud State University campus. 

What time does it start? 

The doors open at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 27, with the event slated to begin at 7 p.m.

What can't I bring? 

The St. Cloud Police Department posted to social media a list of prohibited items that people planning to attend the rally should not bring with. Police noted that surrendered items will not be returned.
