MINNEAPOLIS — On Tuesday, Twin Cities voters are heading to the polls to vote for city council members, school board picks and a tax increase.
Before you leave for the polls, here are some last-minute things you need to know.
What's on my ballot?
Not every city has elections today. While some cities have council seats and school boards up for debate, others have... nothing. So before you leave today, check if your city has anything on the ballot.
Voters can click here to be routed to the Minnesota Secretary of State ballot lookup. Input your zip code to check if - or what - you can vote on.
Minneapolis residents will be voting today as all 13 seats of the city council are up for grabs. St. Paul has races for city council and school board, as well as a city question that asks residents if they want to raise sales taxes in order to improve roads.

What to bring with you to vote?
If you are already registered to vote, photo identification is not required at the polls in Minnesota.
If you're not yet registered, you can register at the polls on Election Day. Bring a valid driver's license, learner's permit, tribal ID, or a receipt for the license with your current name and address.
If your ID is expired or you live at a new address that is not on your ID, you have to bring one photo ID and one approved document with your current address. This can be your school ID, military ID, or passport AND a lease or bill statement valid through Election Day.
For more details, check out the Minnesota Secretary of State's website.
What time are polls open?
Polling places are usually open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. However, in smaller city, town or school-only elections outside the Twin Cities metro, the polls do not have to open until 5 p.m., so either go after work or check your individual polling place times online.
Where is my polling place?
Input your zip code into the polling place finder on the Minnesota Secretary of State website for your polling place.
Where can I find results?
Results will be posted on KARE 11's election results page.
