MINNEAPOLIS — A 3-month-old has died three months after being hospitalized, possibly due to child abuse, according to police.

In a press release from the White Bear Lake Police Department, the child died after they were called to St. John's Hospital back on March 22 to take a report of an instance of possible child abuse. On Thursday, the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office ruled the child's death as a homicide.

No arrests have been made but police say the case is still being investigated.
