Early Tuesday afternoon Kandiyohi County Sheriff Eric Tollefson confirmed that a man's body was recovered on the southwest side of Nest Lake just before 9 a.m. Divers located the man about 300 yards from shore in 11 feet of water. The body was transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office for positive identification and an autopsy.

The 39-year-old White, of Overland Park, Kansas, left his vacation rental property on the south side of Nest Lake near Spicer around 11:30 p.m. and paddled off alone. He failed to return.

Kandiyohi County Sheriff's officials were called Sunday morning and embarked on a search of the lake. Searchers discovered White's missing kayak later that afternoon, but he was nowhere to be found.

The sheriff asked property owners to check their shorelines and outbuildings as multiple departments joined the search. As of late Tuesday morning, Kandiyohi County has not confirmed that White's body has been recovered.
