DAHLGREN TOWNSHIP, Minn. - Firefighters in Carver County say they found the body of a woman while fighting a house fire in Dahlgren Township.
The sheriff's department got a 911 call shortly before 8 p.m. Monday about the burning houselocatedonthe 14000 block of County Road 41 . The body of the adult female was found inside.
Crews were on scene until 2 a.m.Tuesday working on the fire.
Cologne firefighters were assisted by other fire departments from Norwood Young America, Carver County, Waconia, Chaska, Hamburg, and Mayer.
Members of the Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office and the Minnesota Regional Coroner's Office are assisting in the investigation of the fire alongwith the Carver County Sheriff's Office.
