MINNETONKA, Minn. - A major power outage left more than a thousand without power briefly Friday morning, and led to the early closure of Minnetonka High School.
Authorities stated the widespread power outage left 1,419 customers without power shortly after 10 a.m. and numerous intersections without working light signals.
The Minnetonka High School Principal Jeff Erickson tweeted at 10:20 a.m. that school would be closed, due to the major outage.
By 10:40 a.m., Minnetonka Police tweeted that power had been restored.
