New Hope police squads were dispatched to a home on the 7300 block of 62nd Avenue North on Monday night for reports of an ongoing domestic dispute. When officers arrived they found a woman outside, who told them her boyfriend was still inside the home with her two children. The suspect was allegedly making threats against them.

Neighbors were evacuated from their homes but allowed back in due to storms and heavy morning rain.

Negotiators made contact with the suspect, but were unable to talk him out.
