MINNEAPOLIS - Police say a man was killed in a multi-vehicle accident Sunday morning on the south side of Minneapolis.
The accident involved four vehicles around 9:30 a.m. at W. 26th St. and Blaisdell Ave. S. Police say two vehicles headed south failed to stop for a red light, and struck two vehicles traveling west.
Minneapolis police say a man was pronounced dead and four other adults were brought to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say three occupants of one of the southbound vehicles fled the scene on foot. Officers located one of them, and interviewed and released that person.
The Minneapolis Police Department's Homicide and Traffic Investigation Units are investigating. Police are looking for more witnesses and for surveillance video that could be helpful.
