GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, like many people, hasn't gotten much sleep since Tuesday's election.
The Minnesota businessman said via Skype he was up until about 4 a.m. at the official Donald Trump watch party in New York Tuesday night, watching first-hand as the president-elect accepted his new position.
"It was epic," Lindell said. "The mood was like, I've never felt anything like it."
Lindell, who has openly supported Trump since the two met over the summer, called the evening's events and the election results "surreal."
"You were tense and then you would get these highs," he said. "It seemed like we just rode a wave. It never was really any lows. It just started and got amazing."
Lindell snapped photos from the night, posing with Sarah Palin, Stephen Baldwin and even Trump himself.
He said as a businessman he really related to Trump's message and truly believes Trump's win will change the course of history, for the better.
"It's going to be such an amazing difference and he's not going to let us down," he said.
Now, Lindell said he's got his sights set on an invite to the inauguration.
