FARGO, N.D. - North Dakota State University will play its 2019 football season opener at Target Field.
The game, which was announced Monday, will see the team host Butler University on Aug. 31, 2019. It also marks the first meeting between the two schools.
NDSU's 2019 season will see six home games at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome, in addition to the Target Field game and five road games.
Complete ticket information for the Target Field game will be announced at a later date. Tickets will not be part of the NDSU's season ticket package but season ticket holders will have an opportunity to buy tickets ahead of the general public.
Student tickets will be available for a discounted price.
NDSU has more than 12,000 alumni in the Twin Cities and nearly 26,000 alumni across Minnesota, according to the university.
