APPLE VALLEY, Minn. - Good news for visitors at the Minnesota Zoo -- there are now more options to satisfy your hunger.
Several new dining options at the zoo were announced Monday, including Erbert & Gerbert's sandwiches, Pranzo Pizza, Aldo's Burgers and Mix'd Greens (a fresh new salad station).
The additional variety is thanks to the zoo's partner, Lancer Hospitality -- a Minnesota company that provides food management services at zoos, aquariums and museums. The new restaurants offer guests everything from specialty salads (where the greens and herbs are grown on-site in an Urban Cultivator indoor garden), make-your-own pizzas and sizzling burgers.
