New Riess evidence details crime scene

1,500 pages of photos and reports in the Florida murder case against Lois Reiss includes new information about the crime scene.

Editor's Note: The new evidence in the Lois Riess case includes photos of the crime scene that are too graphic to show. Readers still may find some of this content disturbing.

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. - New evidence released in Lois Riess' Florida murder case takes us inside the bathroom at the Marina Village condo in Fort Myers Beach where police say Pamela Hutchinson was killed.

The new evidence includes another 1,500 pages of photographs and reports. Photos show the pink camouflage cap worn by Hutchinson at a bar as she talked with Riess is the one she was wearing when she was shot to death.

First responders found towels tucked under the bathroom door. Investigators found a bullet hole in the ceiling. And lying over Hutchinson's body was a pillow with bullet hole through it.

Photos document blood smudges on the shower door and bathroom door and on the floor near the body. The reports say investigators lifted a total of 40 fingerprints from the condo. And after Lois Riess' last court hearing, police took her fingerprints and footprints.

The new evidence includes several surveillance photos of Riess while she was allegedly on the run.

Checking into a hotel after driving up in Hutchinson's car, using a gas station ATM after driving up in Hutchinson's car, driving through a bank window, and standing at a bank counter withdrawing cash.

The photos show cash police found on Riess after they arrested her, as well as bullets and two guns. The reports indicate Riess' husband in Minnesota was killed very similarly to Hutchinson in Florida.

Riess still isn't charged with killing her husband. The Dodge County Attorney has said they are waiting for test results to see if the same gun killed both victims.

Riess is scheduled to be back in court on Halloween.
