'Old Lady' the St. Bernard finds home after incredible rescue

After 17 days in the cold, Old Lady the St. Bernard is getting another chance at a happy ending.

PRINCETON, Minnesota — Things are looking up for a St. Bernard that survived 17 days out in the frigid cold.

Ruff Start Rescue shared a video of the dog, affectionately named Old Lady, walking around the shelter and sniffing everything in sight.

The 10-year-old St. Bernard was rescued from a puppy mill and shortly afterward ran away from a foster home after getting spooked by the snow. After a lot of searching, she was finally found 17 days later with her leash tangled in some trees in Zimmerman, Minnesota.

Old Lady weighs in at just 88 pounds right now, but the medical director is checking in on her. And just as importantly - she's found a forever home. Her new owner will "foster to adopt" until she's healthy.

"It was love at first sight for both of them," Ruff Start Rescue posted on Facebook.
