Polish Festival celebrates music and culture

The Twin Cities Polish Festival takes place next weekend, August 10th through 11th, at St. Anthony Main in Minneapolis.

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Twin Cities Polish Festival takes place next weekend, August 10th through 11th, at St. Anthony Main in Minneapolis.

The Festival is a non-profit organization helping to promote Polish and Polish-American culture and traditions. The event will run 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday August 10th and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday August 11th.

With lots to offer the Festival is a fun way for anyone with a Polish background to learn more about the culture and traditions. The event is free and includes arts, crafts, dancing, music, and cuisine. A special highlight this year is the Chopin Celebration Concert in honor of famous Polish icon Frederick Chopin.

Emma Taggart, 11, will be performing at the concert, and stopped by the KARE Saturday show to perform live.
