ST PAUL, Minn. — Endorsements for Vice President Kamala Harris have been rolling in from Democrats, following President Joe Biden's Sunday announcement that he does not plan to seek reelection in 2024.
Immediately after stepping down as the Democratic candidate, Biden posted on Instagram that he would support Harris as the presidential nominee, marking the first of many politicians to do so. Minnesota governor Tim Walz joined that crowd Monday morning, posting his endorsement on X.
Walz has been one of the names potentially listed as a VP candidate for Harris, along with Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper and Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly.
Senator Amy Klobuchar could also be an option, according to local analysts.

While Harris is Biden's choice of successor, not everyone has thrown their public support behind her. On Sunday, West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin called for the Democrats to hold a "mini primary" to find its strongest candidate. The same day, Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison promised an "orderly process" to replace Biden.
