A man was killed Tuesday morning after a large section of crane fell on him in Waite Park.
Police officers were sent to the 400 block of 7th Ave. N. just before 11 a.m. Tuesday after part of a crane being built "fell from an elevated workstation," according to a brief news release from Waite Park Police Chief Anthony Reznicek.
Dylan Barthel, 38, of Sartell, was "pinned under the crane section and was pronounced dead at the scene" according to the release.
The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office said the preliminary cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries.
No further information has been released.
