See beautiful birds of prey during 'Masters of the Sky'

The annual event at the Carpenter Nature Center features birds from the World Bird Sanctuary.

HASTINGS, Minn. — Seven birds of prey from around the world will be in Minnesota this weekend, and you can go see them!

The "Masters of the Sky" event returns to the Carpenter Nature Center in Hastings from Feb. 23-24, 2019.

The Carpenter Nature Center partners with the World Bird Sanctuary from St. Louis for the event. It features live hawks, owls, falcons and vultures. Participants will be able to see them up close.

The programs are at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The programs will sell out, so RSVP by calling 651-437-4359. 

The cost is $10 per person or $7 for "Friends of CNC."

The Carpenter Nature Center gives visitors the chance to enjoy and learn about the outdoors. It also focuses on environmental conservation, preserving habitats in Minnesota and Wisconsin along the St. Croix River.

Admission to the Carpenter Nature Center is free.
