DULUTH, Minn. — Police in Duluth are investigating after five people known to each other were found dead in west Duluth.
According to Duluth Police, they were called for a welfare check at a house on the 6000 block of Tacony Street. That's where they found the first two victims, a 47-year-old woman and a juvenile, dead from gunshot wounds.
Authorities identified a suspect and set up a perimeter at his house on the 4400 block of West 6th Street. Police say when they entered the house, they found a 45-year-old woman dead as well as another juvenile — also from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
The suspect, a 46-year-old man, was also found dead "with what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound," police said.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims’ families and loved ones involved in this tragic event," police said in a statement.
Duluth Police said in a statement that the victims and suspect were known to each other, and other is no present threat to the Duluth community. Police plan to hold a press conference on Friday.
