The Mason City police chief confirmed for FindJodi.com that investigators traveled to Winsted, Minnesota for a search in October after a tip came in.

WINSTED, Minn. — The search for missing news anchor Jodi Huisentruit continues after a recent search in Minnesota found no human remains.

A recent tip led authorities to a construction site in Winsted, about 45 miles directly west of Minneapolis, in mid-October.

Crews were looking for Huisentruit, who was a morning anchor at KIMT when she disappeared early the morning of June 27, 1995. Evidence found in her apartment parking lot indicates the Long Prairie native was abducted. Despite decades of extensive police work on Jodi's disappearance, the case remains unsolved.

KARE 11's Lou Raguse, who has been following this case, reports no human remains were found during this particular search in Winsted.

"They did find some animal bones, which is not unusual," Raguse said in a post on X. He added that the discovery of "bones" started a lot of rumors, but confirmed there was no huge break in the investigation.

The website findjodi.com posted an update saying the search was the first public police activity in the Huisentruit investigation in several years.
