Surveillance video shows Lois Riess arrest

The video, from Sea Ranch Restaurant in South Padre Island, shows Riess sitting at the corner of the bar talking to an unidentified person, when authorities walk in and arrest her.

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas - Surveillance video obtained by NBC News shows Lois Riess being arrested in a Texas restaurant.

The video, from Sea Ranch Restaurant in South Padre Island, shows Riess sitting at the corner of the bar talking to an unidentified person, when authorities walk in and arrest her. At least five officers lead her away, and she does not appear to put up a fight.

The 56-year-old Riess is suspected in two murders, one in Minnesota and one in Florida. She is now being held at the Cameron County Jail in South Texas, and is expected to be extradited to Florida before facing charges in Minnesota.

Riess is suspected in the shooting death of David Riess, whose body was found at their home in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, in late March.

Investigators believe Lori Riess then fled to Florida where she killed Pamela Hutchinson in Fort Myers Beach, intending to steal her identity.

Surveillance video was key in locating Riess in Texas after she had not surfaced in several days.
