ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota State Fair is underway for another year. So why is OUR state fair such a big deal?
First, it's one of the largest in the country. There are nearly 2 million visitors every year - which breaks down to 160,000 every day.
Then, there's the amazing amount of food. There are more than 70 different kinds on a stick. If you lay all the foot-long hotdogs sold in a line, it would stretch 35 miles.
Need a drink? Stop by the All-You-Drink-Milk Booth where 26,000 gallons are served up. That's enough to make a cow shudder.
And for dessert, have a couple of Sweet Martha's Cookies! They are pulling 2,000 cookies per minute out of the oven.
But it's not all about the food. There's nearly 200 calves, lambs, goats and piglets born every year during the 12 days of The Great Minnesota Get-Together.
There's also more than 300 rides!
So no matter what your style, there's something for you at the Minnesota State Fair.
