MINNEAPOLIS — Three people were injured when fleeing suspects caused several crashes on Thursday, according to police.
U of M Police Chief Matt Clark said officers were responding to a report of two people stealing from cars in an on-campus parking lot, when the suspects fled.
Police pursued them but the suspect vehicle was out of sight. Police say the suspects hit two separate cars - one at 5th Street and 15th Avenue, and one at 5th Street and 12th Avenue. They then hit a car at 5th Street and 10th Avenue, injuring two people in that car and a pedestrian, according to police.
Both suspects fled the scene at that point. One was arrested and one is still at large.
Police are searching for a light-skinned female suspect, possibly white or Asian, with a white polka dot shirt, dark pants and dark shoes. Anyone with information is asked to call 612-624-2677.
The three victims are expected to recover, according to the U of M.
