APPLE VALLEY, Minn. - Have snow, will sled.
After a record amount of snow dumped on the Twin Cities, many are taking full advantage of the winter fun, including an adorable little otter at the Minnesota Zoo.
The 3-year-old river otter named Bobby discovered the perfect sledding hill in his home on Wednesday morning, just as zoo Tropics Trail supervisor, Tom Ness, was walking by. Ness captured the little guy's pure enjoyment during a few runs down the hill.
"Our animal care staff are always excited to see the animals enjoying fun, natural enrichment," said Josh Le, communications manager for the Minnesota Zoo.
The zoo posted the video on its Facebook page, and other social media accounts, where it quickly gained more than 30,000 views.
As Le says, "If an adorable otter playing and sliding in snow doesn’t make your day, we don’t know what will!"
Happy snow day!
