Winning $21.6 million lottery ticket sold in Ramsey

It was purchased at a store that has also sold a $1 million winner and a pair of $50,000 prizes.

RAMSEY, Minn. — Lottery officials are waiting to meet Minnesota's newest millionaire after a winning Lotto America ticket worth $21.6 million was sold at a convenience store in Ramsey.

The ticket was purchased at the Holiday Station Store at 14075 Ramsey Boulevard, which means the store will receive a $10,000 bonus for making the winning sale. The winning numbers were The lucky ticket matched all five winning numbers (16 – 22 – 32 – 36 – 42) plus the Star Ball (8) drawn on July 10.

“We are thrilled to have a jackpot winner in Minnesota!” said Minnesota Lottery Executive Director Adam Prock. “The winner should put the ticket somewhere safe, get any advice that they need and then call us to make arrangements to claim their prize.”

If you're planning on playing for the next drawing, the Ramsey Holiday Station Store might not be a bad bet: In addition to this huge jackpot, the store has sold a $1 million winner and a pair of $50,000 prizes. 

The Minnesota Lottery plans to hold a news conference at the store at 1 p.m. Thursday. KARE 11 plans to stream it live.
