Woman with Alzheimer's missing in Mpls. is found

Surveillance video shows Ramona Martin getting aboard a westbound Green Line LRT Train, but her whereabouts are currently unknown.

MINNEAPOLIS - UPDATE: Ramona Martin has been found. The University of Minnesota police thank everyone who helped search and share the information.

A Twin Cities family is desperate to find a vulnerable woman with Alzheimer's who disappeared while visiting someone in the hospital Wednesday night.

Ramona Martin, age 59, was separated from her family at M-Health Hospital. Authorities say she told a family member she wanted to visit Haskell's Liquor Store in downtown Minneapolis before they closed for the night.

Investigators learned by viewing surveillance tape that Martin boarded a westbound LRT Green Line Train at the East Bank LRT Station.

Martin is extremely vulnerable, as she not only has Alzheimer's but is also wheelchair-bound. She is 4 feet 11 inches tall, 180 pounds, with black hair, and was last seen wearing a black jacket, green scarf and a stocking cap.

Anyone who sees Ramona Martin or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call U of M Police at 612-624-7828.
