Lynx's Napheesa Collier selected to Team USA

In addition to Collier, the Lynx will send head coach Cheryl Reeve to Paris.

MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Lynx's forward Napheesa Collier is headed to Paris as part of the USA Women's Basketball Team.

This isn't her first Olympics either, as Collier helped Team USA win gold in Tokyo in 2021. This will be the seventh Games that showcase at least one Minnesota player. Lynx Coach Cheryl Reeve will take on the role of head coach for the second time.

Joining Collier on the team will be experienced Olympians Diana Taurasi, Brittney Griner, Breanna Stewart, A'ja Wilson, Jewell Loyd, Chelsea Gray, Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young, according to the Associated Press. First-timers include Alyssa Thomas, Sabrina Ionescu and Kahleah Copper.

But where's Caitlin Clark? Despite Clark's star power and recent entry to the WNBA, a source told the AP that Team USA's roster will not include her.
