Caleb Traux sidelined with Achilles injury

It’s quite a setback for the Minnesota native who still has his sights set on regaining his IBF super middleweight title.

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — In his first TV interview since news broke earlier in the week, Caleb Truax discusses the injury that will keep him out of the ring for his previously scheduled fight against Peter Quillin on Aug. 31 at the Armory in Minneapolis.

A high grade partial thickness tear of Truax’s Achilles tendon is putting the boxer’s career on hold.

Truax initially suffered the injury in March and was trying to work his way through the pain, but now faces weeks of rehabilitation.

It’s quite a setback for the Minnesota native who still has his sights set on regaining his IBF super middleweight title.

Truax talks about the decision and the disappointment to Eric Perkins.
