EAGAN, Minn. — Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver Stefon Diggs was absent from practice Wednesday for what the team classified as a "non-injury related" reason.
The fifth-year receiver has gotten off to a slow start to the season - 13 catches for 209 yards and one touchdown - in a revamped offensive scheme that focuses on the rushing attack. The Vikings have the second-worst passing attack in the league averaging just 169 yards per game.
Diggs, who signed a five-year contract extension last summer with the Vikings, has been the subject of multiple trade rumors, but nothing has been made official.
The Vikings will be on the road this weekend to take on the New York Giants.
