Minnetonka senior forward named AP Player of the Year for Minnesota boys hockey

The senior led the Skippers with 38 assists and 57 points, and has committed to play for Denver University.

MINNETONKA, Minn. — Minnetonka forward Hagen Burrows is the Associated Press Player of the Year for Minnesota high school boys hockey in 2024. 

The senior led the Skippers with 38 assists and 57 points and has committed to play for Denver University. 

Burrows had 19 goals. 

Minnetonka lost to Chanhassen in the section championship after winning the Class 2A state title in 2023. 

Also voted to the AP all-state team by statewide media are Warroad forward Carson Pilgrim, Edina forward Jackson Nevers, Minnetonka defenseman John Stout, Orono defenseman Joey Mugaas and Chanhassen goalie Kam Hendrickson.
