MINNEAPOLIS — "The Most Beautiful Urban Marathon in America," is back on Sunday, October 6!
Runners will line up at the start line for the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon in downtown Minneapolis at the corner of South 6th Street and Portland Ave, before winding through the city around the chain of lakes, along the Mississippi River, then down Summit Avenue before concluding at the State Capitol.
Participants can expect several fluid stations, restrooms and other support available at multiple locations along the marathon route.
The marathon isn't the only race in town that day, however. The Medtronic TC 10 Mile also starts in downtown Minneapolis, a short distance from the Marathon start line, following a path along the Mississippi River and Summit Avenue on the way to the finish line at the State Capitol. The 10 Mile includes similar water and support stops at various points along the route.
New this year is the TC Half Marathon for More, which will begin on the west side of Lake Nokomis before runners travel along the Mississippi River and down Summit Avenue to the State Capitol.
