Minnesotan WWE fans will have to travel to Las Vegas if they want to see WrestleMania 41 in person.

Minnesota Sports and Events had submitted a bid to bring the massive wrestling event to Minneapolis, but the WWE ultimately decided to go with the warmer weather of Las Vegas.

"We were informed by WWE that MN would not host WrestleMania in 2025 due to change in direction by new ownership … Although disappointed, we are in discussions with WWE about future events in MN … We are optimistic that MN will host WWE events here in the future," said the group in a statement after the WWE announced Las Vegas was selected as its destination.

Though WrestleMania has been a pay-per-view behemoth for decades, selling out stadiums across the United States, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has grown its marquee event that now fills NFL stadiums over two consecutive nights, while also drawing fans to other events and activations that fill convention centers and arenas over several days.

The WWE highlighted the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas as one of the reasons it selected the city.

“Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world. Allegiant Stadium has proven to be even greater than the A+ venue Las Vegas guaranteed it would be,” said Nick Khan, WWE President, in a release.
