MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota's new indoor football franchise has a familiar home it hopes to pack when the season begins this April.

The Arena Football League's (AFL) Minnesota Myth announced Tuesday that the team will play its home games inside the friendly confines of Target Center. Here are the dates for the five games (out of a 10-game season) that will be played in downtown Minneapolis.

  • May 5: Philadelphia
  • May 9: Albany
  • May 18: Witchita
  • May 30: Washington
  • June 6: Nashville

Start times for Myth games have not yet been determined.

The new Minnesota franchise is owned by Diana Hutton, the AFL's first-ever sole Latina team owner. The Myth will be coached by U of M and Canadian football great Ricky Foggie. While the team website does not list a roster, a release from the team says the AFL player combine and local tryouts have already been held, and training camp is "on the horizon."
