MINNEAPOLIS — After an uncertain year for its parent company, which found itself embroiled in billions of dollars in debt and bankruptcy, Bally Sports North (BSN) announced it will once again be home for the majority of Minnesota Twins games this season.
According to the Twins, this is the seventh time in the team's history that all 162 games will be televised — 159 of them airing on Bally. Telecast play-by-play will be led by former Twins radio broadcaster Cory Provus, who will appear alongside a number of rotating analysts, including Twins greats Justin Morneau, Roy Smalley, LaTroy Hawkins, Glen Perkins, Trevor Plouffe and Denard Span.
Reporters Audra Martin and Katie Storm will also rejoin Bally's starting lineup.
The announcement comes after BSN's parent company, Diamond Sports Group, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year, revealing it was in more than $8 billion in debt.
Better news came earlier this month when the company and its creditors reached restructuring agreements over regional broadcasting rights — which also includes respective networks for the Cleveland Guardians and Texas Rangers. Those reportedly expire at the end of the 2024 season.
Spanish-language broadcasts will also be available via LosTwins.com and with the Secondary Audio Program (SAP) option on BSN. Twins legend and National Baseball Hall of Famer Tony Oliva will join play-by-play broadcaster Alfonso Fernandez to deliver the action in Spanish over 50 games, according to BSN.
Diamond owns 18 networks under the Bally Sports banner. Those networks have the rights to 37 professional teams — 11 baseball, 15 NBA and 11 NHL.
The full broadcast schedule can be found on the Twins' website, as well as game ticket information.
